I’m Not Really a Lumberjack and I also’m Not Actually OK; Angry Gambler Strikes Straight Back

I’m Not Really a Lumberjack and I also’m Not Actually OK; Angry Gambler Strikes Straight Back

Maybe Not everyone carrying an axe is a lumberjack

Ever seen a lumberjack in a casino? Not likely, since most lumberjacks don’t generally carry their axes around with them on evenings out. But two stories have popped up in the news showing that non-lumberjacks don’t stick to these necessarily rules.

Axing For Trouble

The first of those two tales of violence occurred in a town club in Fontaniva, Italy, where a disgruntled gambler decided to exact their revenge on some unsuspecting slots devices after losing 5,000 euros (over $6,500) in 2 weeks.

The father of two, aged 48, was caught on CCTV cameras, footage of which has since stormed the media and video clip websites that are streaming where audiences can watch the gambler smash up seven machines as nearby customers dive for cover.

After blowing off vapor, the device hacker calmly strolls out of the bar, but maybe not before giving a thumbs up towards the one-armed bandits. Either this is an indicator of victory, or a show of friendship towards these specific devices. When coping with crazy, interpretations are anybody’s guess.

The anger-released slot axe-murderer then waited calmly for arrest outside a bar that is nearby.

‘ He comes in here most of the time to try out the machines,’ said who owns the bar, whom chose probably wisely- to remain nameless. ‘ He’s had some wins, but he spends a lot of cash. He could be a laborer and only works every now and then.’ evidently, this might be one worker who keeps his very own equipment handy.

‘He’s normally a very man that is quiet. He just strolled in very calmly having an axe and smashed all the machines. There were several customers by them at the time and they had been terrified,’ he added.

The man was sentenced for six months for criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon as a result of his strangely calm yet violent outburst. But jail overcrowding got him off with absolutely nothing significantly more than a slap on the hand.

But Wait, There’s More…

The 2nd of the two tales is a bit more terrifying, as the axe was wielded maybe not during the slots, but at a member of the employees at a shop that is betting the Welsh capital of Cardiff.

Police reported that the ‘particularly violent’ event left the shop assistant at a Ladbrokes shop that is betting Cardiff ‘in a situation of shock.’

Before raiding the till and making off with some money, one of three suspects in the robbery was seen wielding an axe over his head, threatening the Ladbrokes’ employee with injury or worse if he didn’t comply.

A police spokesperson investigating the criminal activity said that two men, both ski that is wearing, entered the bookie’s shop at 9:30 pm regarding the night of the incident. One calmly endured guard at the doorway, while the other violently threatened the assistant aided by the tree-chopping gun.

The frightened shop assistant then handed over what police called a ‘quantity of money,’ and the men fled the scene in a getaway car driven by a third suspect.

Police are now appealing to the neighborhood public for information that could assist apprehend the violent criminals, as unlike the Italian axe-wielder, they certainly did not wait calmly for arresting officers to show up in the scene.

Whose Casino Could It Be Anyway? Boston and Everett, Mass. Duke It Out

The battle continues over who gets to vote on Everett casino plan

While each of the 3 certification battles for casino resort projects in Massachusetts has received its share of drama, none has proven more contentious than the fight over the casino slated to be located in the greater Boston area. Now, one Boston mayoral candidate is threatening a lawsuit over one such proposition that would put a casino in the neighboring town of Everett.

Voting Rights

The appropriate choice is pertaining to the idea that neighboring communities could be suffering from casino projects, but won’t have an opportunity to vote on whether those casinos is opened in the place that is first. Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley, a candidate for mayor of Boston, has been one of the handful of candidates who have recommended that most of Boston should be able to vote on a casino that could be situated in East Boston, for instance.

It is unfair to the surrounding communities when it comes to the proposed Wynn casino project in Everett, Conley says that allowing only Everett residents to vote on. If the East Boston proposal fail, then, he would register suit to stop the Everett casino based in the impact it could have on many Boston neighborhoods.

‘The Wynn proposal was voted…on in only one community,’ Conley said throughout a press conference at City Hall Plaza, ‘while residents and businesses from Charlestown to Somerville and beyond will keep its traffic, economic, and burdens that are social receive royal vegas mobile no deposit bonus none of the proposed advantages.’

In line with the state laws that produced the window of opportunity for three new casinos in Massachusetts, only communities hosting casinos actually obtain a vote on whether or not to allow the projects to be built. However, casino developers are required to negotiate payment, with arbitration required if the gambling enterprises and neighborhood governments can’t visited an answer by themselves.

Conley has proposed taking a path that isn’t really outlined in the 2011 casino law in terms of the East Boston casino proposal, one that’s being manufactured by Caesars Entertainment and Suffolk Downs. He would have the whole city of Boston vote on whether to approve the proposal, while nevertheless giving East Boston veto power within the whole vote. The casino would have to pass votes in both East Boston alone and across the entire city in order to be approved in other words.

Yay or Nay?

A Boston Globe survey found that six of the eight mayoral candidates who answered that question were in favor of it, with just two coming out against it (with Conley and one other candidate not answering the question) while Conley has not specified whether or not he supports the East Boston casino proposal. Meanwhile, four of ten prospects supported allowing the city that is entire vote on the casino, while six favored limiting the vote to just East Boston. Another poll of Boston residents found that 44% were in favor of the casino, while 37% opposed it.

Even if voters return these proposals, just one will ultimately be chosen by the state because the site that is future of casino in the Boston area. Along side the Everett and East Boston casino plans, there is also a competing proposal from Crossroads Massachusetts to place a casino in Milford.

Labour MP Disses Sports Books, Takes Donation from Retired Bookie CEO

Chuka Umunna, taken up to task for accepting donation

Chuka Umunna, cited as the increasing celebrity of great britain’s Labour Party who has publicly announced his discontent towards the bookmaking industry got their own hand caught in the activities book cookie container after accepting a contribution of £20,000 (more than $30,000) from a retired premier sports company that is betting.

Slaps Bookies While Accepting Donation

As a gambling store critic who has publicly decried the number of betting shops, Umunna nevertheless accepted the big donation from chairman emeritus of the Gala Coral Group, Neil Goulden, causing members of the Conservative Party to call out the shadow business assistant, claiming Umunna is guilty of adopting double standards.

Since Gala Coral Group is certainly one associated with the largest bookies in Britain and accounts for the number that is large of outlets, with 1,800 bookies throughout the united states- it just didn’t really read well.

Umunna has even attacked the industry directly with a campaign targeted at reducing the spread of bookies and betting stores in the area roads of his south London Streatham constituency, and went so far as to promise ‘new powers to get a handle on the number of betting shops.’

‘we understand there was concern that is huge some streets in our area are steadily filling with gambling shops and cash advance companies that take advantage of our community, as opposed to help us,’ wrote Umunna in a report to local voters earlier this year.

‘ Can anyone really credibly ever believe anything Chuka Umunna says?’ questioned Tory Party vice-chairman Bob Neill. ‘He says a very important factor in public places and does another behind closed doors. Their hypocrisy seems to be limitless.’ And that is very unusual for a politician.

Spared on a Technicality

However, fighting back the corner regarding the Labour Party MP, a spokesperson for Umunna claimed that ‘this donation was made by an individual Labour Party supporter in a capacity that is personal and was accepted in accordance using the rules and precisely declared.’

Officially, the donation from Goulden was registered as being made ‘to support the working workplace of Chuka Umunna in his capability as Shadow Secretary of State for company, as well as for staffing,’ so it can officially pass as legitimate.

Even though Goulden is not any longer mind of the Gala Coral Group of operations, the ten years he invested as managing director, chief executive and chairman of the group implies that he still provides consultancy services and chairs the Responsible Gaming Trust.

Whether it’s a entirely innocent contribution or not, and whether or otherwise not the Conservative Party that are looking to ruin the promotion of a rival MP by claiming hypocrisy, Umunna was still a bit red-faced when the news broke, especially after taking this type of difficult stance against the spread of the industry in their local constituency.

‘ The thing that is only know he really believes is that the capital is full of ‘trash’ and ‘C-list’ wannabes,’ stated Bob Neill.

Umunna, that is considered to be described as a future Labour Party leader, has recently experienced his fair share of embarrassment as earlier this present year his office ended up being accused of modifying their Wikipedia page to exhibit evaluations between himself and Barack Obama.
